Why Did I Join Avon? A little bit about me

Due to a lot of personal experience in my life, Finding a job was very hard for me. Before my son started school, the only option I had was to be a stay home mom. We couldn't afford a sitter, or daycare and in my personal opinion, I wouldn't be able to hire a complete stranger to watch my son.

I started babysitting others kids while I stayed home. It wasn't a huge income, but it was at least something, ya know? Eventually, kids do go  to school, and babysitting was no longer something I was doing.

I wanted to find something to become independent on. I wanted to find something I would love, so it would never feel like work. So I started doing a lot of searching online. I have done research on so many things, like scams, legit or not legit jobs but I ran into the Avon website. I knew Avon was legit, my mother and her friends used to order things from Avon for many years.

I never knew anyone could actually sell it so this really perked my interest.

My Amazing son Richard M Broadhurst jr.

The year 2012 and 2013 were hard for me. December of 2012, My son was diagnosed with Autism, and I ended up in the hospital with Congestive heart failure. I was born with a heart problem called "Aortic Stenosis" that got worsen over the years.  I found out in the Hospital I needed open heart surgery. (I was 26 years old).

To make a long story short, I ended up having to get all my teeth pulled, (Prior of heart surgery). and I finally had the heart surgery done on May 2nd, 2013.

Blessed to have second chance at life

After my heart surgery, and knowingly I was out of even being able to try to find a job, Feeling sad because I had no teeth, I lost a lot confidence in myself to the point, I just didn't want to get judged by my appearance, especially from complete strangers. (can ya really blame me?)

After 3 months of recovery and healing.. I called up my now upline Leader Sherry to help me set up Avon.

With Avon, you can get your own website, great training courses, and help from many other reps. For only $10.. I said to myself.. what do I have to lose? I was so excited to start Avon and even til today I have learned so much.

I am so inspired by Sherry and Molly who are both wonderful people who I am so thankful to have! They really made me realize you make what you put into it. August 2013, I became an Avon Independent Representative.

My status of today is.. I have 5 people on my Avon Team. My very good friend Shannon just made it to the top sales in our district coming in 2nd on the list.

My goal is to recruit people who are motivated enough to start Avon on my team. Avon is for Men and Women. I have met a few guys who has become very much successful in this business. Is Avon for everyone? No it's not. Can it be for you? Of course.

Me and my best friend  as of today

Business takes time.. Time is everything. Am I where I want to be? not yet, but it sure is a fun journey getting there.

For anyone who has read this, I personally want to say, You really can do anything you set your mind too. You won't have a full Career full time over night. Just like any business out there, You have to make it happen.

Thank You so much for reading this and I really do hope to inspire many. Even if you don't want to join Avon, I do hope you know you can do anything you set your mind too. The biggest idea is, You can never give up, keep going and don't let things get in your way.

Sincerely

  1. {{hugs}} Your story will be healing for lots of people for sure!
I sold Avon many many moons ago and quit just before my youngest was born.
With 4 kids it's a little hard to handle 2 week campaigns.
    Good luck to you!
